Times have now changed. It is now quite important and essential to run a distribution system in its highest capacity. A few of the questions which have to be answered would be. What’s the maximum capability? How can we determine this ability? Which are the working limits that have to be fulfilled? What could be done to run the supply system within the working limits? What could be done to produce the distribution system function more efficiently?All of those questions could be answered only if the supply system could be modeled quite accurately. The objective of this phase is to create accurate models for each the main constituents of a distribution platform. After the models are developed, investigation techniques for steady-state and short-circuit requirements will be developed.The distribution procedure normally begins with the supply substation that’s fed by a couple of subtransmission lines. Sometimes, the supply substation is fed straight in the high-voltage transmission line in that case, probably, there’s not a subtransmission system.
